What is Impotence?

The correct terms is Erectile Dysfunction, and it is the inability to sustain an erection sufficient for sexual intercourse. It affects millions of men worldwide. The term "impotence" is generally avoided by the medical professions since it may refer to any number of different problems e.g. loss of libido, premature ejaculation, or the inability to orgasm.

What Causes Impotence?

Impotence, or rather Erectile Dysfunction can be caused by a variety of reasons. It was commonly believed to be caused by psychological problems (psychogenic) but it is now known that 80 to 90 percent is caused by physical problems (organic), usually related to the blood supply of the penis. It is usually very simple to establish whether an erectile problem is physical because most men experience erections during sleep (when psychological factors are minimal).

Causes can include:

Alcohol
Chronic diseases, especially renal failure and dialysis
Depression
Diabetes
Drugs - use and abuse
High levels of blood cholesterol
Hormonal Abnormalities
Hypertension (high blood pressure)
Lack of sexual knowledge
Vascular disease and vascular surgery
Peyronie's disease (distortion or curvature of the penis)
Poor sexual techniques
Priapism (inflammation of the penis)
Prostate problems
Poor interpersonal relationships
Smoking
Spinal cord injury

How is Impotence treated?

Treatment options include oral drug therapy, vacuum constriction devices, penile injection therapy, and surgery. Usually the least invasive treatment which produces the desired results and is a satisfactory solution to both the man and his partner is the best.

What is Cialis?

Description: Cialis is a new oral treatment for impotence and erectile dysfunction (ED), which has just been licensed for prescription, enabling you to buy online from this website. Cialis is proving highly successful in clinical trials and is generating major interest worldwide following the results of a recent clinical study on nearly 400 men with ED. The case studies for Cialis showed that:

  • 88 percent of men achieved erections in 30 minutes or less.
  • Cialis continued to stay in the system for up to 24 hours

These case studies prove that Cialis is a real alternative to Viagra and Uprima.

Side Effects: A small number (>5 percent) of those involved in the clinical trials reported mild side effects with the treatment, mostly including headaches, flushing and upset stomachs. Early tests seem to indicate that Cialis doesn't affect blood pressure as much as other ED drugs.

Is Cialis more effective than Viagra or Uprima? There is currently no direct evidence from clinical trials or otherwise to compare the effectiveness of treatments such as Cialis against other drugs such as Viagra and Uprima. However, early findings do seem to indicate that Cialis may be especially effective in treating ED in patients at greater risk of cardiovascular events.

Cialis, complete with free, on-treatment consultation is available to registered patients.

What is Levitra?

Description: Levitra is a new oral treatment for erectile dysfunction (ED). It is similar to Viagra in that it is a PDE-5 inhibitor, but some clinical trials indicate that Levitra acts faster and its effects last longer than Viagra. Case studies for Levitra have shown that:

  • Men taking Levitra on average reported a satisfaction rate three times higher than men taking placebo for erection hardness.
  • Significant improvements were noted in intercourse satisfaction, orgasmic function and overall sexual experience in men taking Levitra compared with men taking placebo.
  • Significantly more men taking Levitra experienced an erection adequate for completion of successful intercourse as early as 16 minutes after dosing compared with men taking placebo.
  • Among men taking Levitra the average success rate in maintaining erections improved from 16 percent to 86 percent (5.4 times).
  • On average, men were successful more than eight out of 10 times in maintaining an erection sufficient for sexual intercourse with Levitra.

These case studies prove that Levitra is a real alternative to Viagra.

Side effects: According to the studies, the most common adverse events were generally mild to moderate and included headache, flushing and rhinitis (nasal congestion).

Levitra, complete with free, on-treatment consultation is available to registered patients.

What is Uprima?

Description: Uprima (apomorphine hydrochloride) is a new medical treatment for the management of erectile dysfunction.

Uprima is a central initiator that works by stimulating an erection through mechanisms originating in the brain. It is almost as effective as Viagra and has the added advantage of being faster to act since it is absorbed under the tongue and thus gets into the blood stream quicker. It usually works within five minutes of taking it, as distinct from over a half an hour that it takes Viagra to click in.

Side Effects: Generally mild and transient. As with Viagra, the most common side effects are nausea, headache and dizziness.

Uprima, complete with free, on-treatment consultation is available to registered patients.

What is Caverject?

Description: Caverject is a penile injection for men for whom other medications are ineffective or contra-indicted. It is injected with a fine needle into the side of the penis where the erection forms (the Corpus Cavernosum). Although this sounds unpleasant, most men find injections virtually painless, as the shaft of the penis is relatively insensitive. Only a single injection is necessary, as the drug is rapidly distributed throughout the penis. An erection will usually develop 5-20 minutes after injection and is intended to last for around one hour. Caverject causes an erection firm enough for sexual intercourse in approximately 80% of men, regardless of their age or the cause of their erectile dysfunction.

Side Effects: Bruising can occur but this can be largely prevented by good injection technique. Our doctors can advise you on the best method.

Caverject, complete with free, on-treatment consultation is available to registered patients.

What is Viagra?

Description: Viagra is by far the most widely used treatment for ED.

Up to 82% of patients who take Viagra experience an improvement in their erections. That means more than 4 out of every 5 couples who try Viagra benefit from it.

Viagra improves erections in most men regardless of how long they have had ED, what caused it, or how old they are. And the effectiveness of Viagra has been proven in clinical studies of thousands of patients.

Side Effects: Generally mild and transient. The most common side effects are headache, facial flushing, and upset stomach. You may also briefly experience bluish or blurred vision or sensitivity to light.

Viagra, complete with free, on-treatment consultation is available to registered patients.

How do I use Testosterone Gel (Andractim)?

For Hormone Replacement Therapy:

What is Prostate Screening?

We are strong advocates of screening for prostatic cancer. The blood test is called PSA or Prostate Specific Antigen and can be carried out by you at home with an easy to use personal testing kit. If you are to be considered for Testosterone Replacement Therapy or Testosterone Gel treatment for Gyneacomastia, then this test is mandatory.

Prostatic cancer is such an invidious disease and gives no warning of it's presence, we recommend that you check yourself for it on a yearly basis. Should this screening test prove positive, the doctor will guide you through what you should do next. There will be no charge for follow up consultation after a positive PSA screening.
